Laurie joined Race Cottam having completed his training at the University of Westminster in London. Here he trained with a number of award winning practices specialising in education and retail sectors.

Laurie joined the Sheffield studio in 2015 and has been the architectural lead on a number of schools, community and commercial projects across the UK. As Director, Laurie’s role is to support sector teams to deliver Race Cottam’s growth strategy, whilst supporting our talented team to challenge and improve our service, delivery and high-quality design.

Alongside his practical work, Laurie has maintained an involvement in architectural education having been a guest lecturer and design tutor at Oxford Brookes University and guest critic at The Chelsea School of Art.
