Race Cottam have been appointed along side Interserve Construction to deliver a new extracare supported housing scheme and specialist school in Hessle, for East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
Extensive consultation has taken place throughout the design process to fully understand the user needs of both facilities, informing the detailed design for both building and landscape.
The supported housing extra care facility comprises 44 units, designed around a central courtyard. The specialist school is for students aged 2 – 19 years and also encompasses residential accommodation and a therapeutic intervention facility.
Project Architect Mark Eden said: “This integrated model of residential and educational support provision is an interesting design approach to this mixed use community scheme. We are pleased to be working along side a fantastic construction team to deliver this project”.
