David Speddings
Design and Technology Lead - Architect
David was appointed Managing Director in 2018, having been Director of the practice since 2013. Alongside his expertise in education projects, David has worked extensively in process-led projects and heads up the practice’s Energy-from-Waste expertise.
His specialist skills are found in producing high quality pragmatic solutions and designs involving listed buildings and within conservation areas.
David's management skills are exemplary within the practice and on projects ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget. His wealth of experience in the Energy from Waste and Infrastructure sectors has provided him with the knowledge to coordinate schemes that have an emphasis on engineering process.
He is also a highly skilled artist and is well known for producing his “Speds’ Specials” artist visualisations of some of our schemes. Speds is a family man and together with his wife Cath have two boys Christopher and Luke and a dog called Ruby. Speds loves the outdoors and is a keen sailor and allotment dweller.
His favourite building is the Hilversum in the Netherlands and his dream commission would be to design his own house.
